نظمت حركة المواطنة، تاريخ ١٤ أيلول ٢٠١٦، جلسة حوار مفتوح حول موضوع تشريع أو وقف تجريم حشيشة الكيف في لبنان، إنتهى النقاش بإعتماد الموقف التالي:

- عدم تجريم الإستحواذ الشخصي في لبنان، بكمية محددة بالقانون
- تشريع وتنظيم الزراعة للأهداف الطبية وللتصدير.وذلك في المناطق التي تزرع فيها تاريخياً حشيشة الكيف

Citizens' Movement organized, on September 14th 2016, an open discussion on the issue of legalizing or decriminalizing cannabis in Lebanon.
Should Lebanon legalize and regulate this substance?

The meeting started with a presentation on the current status of cannabis in Lebanon and around the world and was followed by a long and heated debate, that resulted with the following stand on this matter, 
We support:
- Decriminalizing possession for personal use, to a maximum limit defined by law
- Legalizing and regulating cultivation for medical and for export purposes, and only in villages and regions known for historic cannabis cultivation in Lebanon.
